It is injected, though it can also be administered in the conjunctiva of the eye. Used to treat severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, to maintain breathing. It is a bronchodilator (enlarges the bronchioles to let in more oxygen) and a vasoconstrictor (constricts blood vessels so that blood pressure increases / improve oxygen circulation).It lowers intraocular pressure in the eye by decreasing production of eye fluid (aqueous humour).
