Research Facts
This product was designed as a cure for throat and lung diseases, as well as ‘catarrh’ (commonly known as phlegm). Snuff was meant to be inhaled through the nose and was typically tobacco-based, with menthol often added medicinally. This is an example of one of Dr. Kellogg’s many ‘remedies’ produced in the late 1800s which claimed to cure various ailments.
