A Brown-Buerger cystoscope consisting of a custom-made walnut case, hinged along one side, an examining telescope with grey eyepiece, a convex sheath with curved beak, a double catheterizing telescope with black eyepiece, an obdurator, a brown rubber conducting cord at the bottom of the case with two plugs and rotating clip; an interior case with sliding metal lid located at top left corner contains a small silver metal jar of yellow grease, four ochre and four black rubber nipples, a catheter clip, and a connecting nipple.

(a) gouging scrapes on lid surface; longest is 9 cm; similar condition along bottom surface; largest gouge located 5 cm from left side and 1 cm from front edge; interior in good condition; one scrape on edge of central block used to house instruments; 8 spots of shiny clear accretions (glue?) on bottom inside surface; (c) one spot of corrosion 3 mm left of "16F"; dark green deposits (cleaning solution?) on lock pins; slight corrosion around base of telescope and around the heads of the
catheter guides; SHEATH FOR THIS TELESCOPE, LIKELY CONCAVE, IS MISSING; (d) opaque white residue on lock pins; green substance also evident in same location; (e) corrosion around base of telescope; green substance located on lock pins; one scrape on telescopic tip; (f) excellent condition with the exception of green substance deposits on lock lever base and on interior of lock lever (possibly grease?); (g) green deposits around base of rotating contact
