Glass lamp (a) has a roughly spherical-shaped body with a flat bottom and manufacture seams on both sides; it tapers to a short neck that becomes a short stem with leak-proof grindings; a metal screw-top wick holder with ribbed edges fits on the stem and provides a rigid fastening for the cotton wick that sticks up slightly from the holder opening; the bottom of the lamp is flat with edges that are concave before flaring outwards into the body of the lamp; a metal cap (b) is used for extinguishing the flame; it is cylindrical with a rounded top and hollow inside; the metal cap fits over the cork wick holder and neck of bottle; a small rubber O-shaped ring (c) is included; it has round sides and a circular hole punched in the middle
