Anatomical chart, which consists of a heavy waxed board framed with metal strips, attached with the top metal edge to a rectangular metal stand; the stand consists of rounded hollow metal bars attached at each end by two bolts to a bent metal foot capped with rubber; there is a gold sticker affixed to the top proper left corner of the frame; the back side of the chart depicts the human skeletal and nervous system, while the opposite front side depicts human musculature, digestive system, glands, nervous system, circulatory, and respiratory systems; detail is supplied by the laminated cardboard, and enhanced by a series of four plastic overlays attached to the centre of the top metal edge (see Marks for more detail); a thin black metal strip edges the bottom of each overlay.

The metal frame showed no signs of active corrosion; the frame was worn and marked on approximately 1/3 of its surface, concentrated in the top proper right half; on the top edge of the board on both sides where it met the top metal edge there was a strip of yellowed adhesive deposit; the paper board was moderately yellowed; the plastic overlays appeared stable; in the lower half of the board's front surface there was a fine film of dirt; on the reverse side of the board there was a brown deposit 0.5 cm x 0.6 cm in the bottom half near the proper left edge; there was damage to the surface of the board underneath each of the skeleton's feet in the form of scrapes 2.0 cm x 0.3 cm; 3.1 cm x 0.5 cm; 1.0 cm x 0.5 cm; 0.9 cm x 0.4 cm; and 3.0 cm x 0.5 cm; the board and frame were moderately dusty; the proper left metal edge along the board was loose at the bottom; the rear proper left rubber foot cap was missing.
