Elavil (amitriptyline) is a tricyclic antidepressant. Elavil affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with depression and is used to treat symptoms of depression.
Dr. Burns of Napanee, Ont., a 1947 graduate of the Queen's University Faculty of Medicine; some items belonged to Dr. Stratton, who held the Napanee practice prior to Dr. Burns.
