The regular holder was moderately dusty; a yellow deposit had accumulated within the threads of the securing bolts; the holder shows signs of moderate wear, particularly in the form of scratches on the flat surfaces of both 90° grooves; there are no major dents, and only minor inactive corrosion in one of the grooves; both bolts move freely

The regular holder consists of two C-style clamps joined by a twisted metal component that sets each clamp at a 90° angle; the clamp arms are curved; at the bases of the clamps, there is a V-shaped groove; the securing action of each clamp is provided by a heavy threaded bolt with a flat, circular turning knob that fits into a hollow, round extension at the end of each clamp arm.

Each band has the following number stamped into the metal: (a) "9"; (b) "10"; (c) "11"; (d) "13"; (e) "15"; (f) "16"; (g) "17"; (h) "20"; (i) "23"; and (j) "25"; the envelope (k) reads, "The Challenge // Adjustable Leg Band // Numbered 1-25 // Directions:- Place band around the fowl's leg and insert tongue through // the raised loop, drawing tongue through far enough to make band of desired // size, then bend end of tongue back between the two prongs and close prongs // down over band, as shown in above cut. The surplus tongue can be cut off // or left on and band enlarged later if desired."

Adult intubation model in case, which consists of (a) a life-sized plastic model of the head, neck and upper chest of a man; the chest is cut away to show the stomach and lungs as well as the tracheal and bronchial tubes; the model is attached to a flat metal base; there are electrical wires leading from the model to the base and a red light on the base; the bottom of the model has a battery chamber; the model fits into (b) a plastic suitcase, that is rectangular in shape and has a lid which is hinged onto the bottom by a hinge at the back; the front of the suitcase has a plastic handle and two metal clasps; the inside bottom of the case has a nylon strap that holds the model in place.

A rectangular-shaped wooden box (v) with lid; the case is lined with a velvet-like fabric and has a number of circular holes for storing the various-sized cylindrical brass weights (a-j, 10 in all); each of these weights has a small metal knob with a thin neck in the top centre portion of the weight; in addition, set in the top of the case is a rectangular plastic tray (t) that has 14 compartments for storing tiny rectangular weights and one compartment for storing the metal tweezers (u) used to pick up the weights; the tray fits into a rectangular depression in the body of the case; on top of the tray sits a glass lid (k) with a brass knob on top; there are just 8 of the tiny rectangular and wire weights (l-s).
