Research Facts
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; the donor is unknown however this item had a sticker on the bottom with the name Dr. Norman written on it; Dr. Crawford had dated this articulator to the 1960s, but as it is model 16, and currently the company is manufacturing model 18, the date is more likely in the 1970s, or even the 1980s

Research Facts
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; this item was donated by Dr. James G. Brass from Comox, British Columbia; his father was a classmate of the inventor of this product, Olin G. McKenzie, at Northwestern University in the late 1930s; this item was patented in 1943; its primary objective was to provide a simple and efficient plugger construction which can be used in an ordinary drilling handpiece, specifically only with a change in the latch, not the handpiece itself
