Ampoule case with 19 ampoules; all ampoules are made of hollow cylindrical sealed glass with a flat round base and tapered to a small rounded top; all the ampoules have printed paper labels on the outside front; three ampoules (a-c) contain a clear liquid, adrenalin chloride solution; one ampoule (d) has a cotton cover with a loosely-woven netting on the outside; the ampoule inside is made of amber glass and contains amyl nitrite; three ampoules (e-g) contain a clear liquid, camphor in oil; two ampoules (h,i) contain a clear liquid, pitressin; two ampoules (j,k) contain a clear liquid, pituitrin; one ampoule (l) contains a clear liquid, synkamin; two ampoules of amber glass (m,n) contain a liquid, ergot aseptic; two ampoules (o,p) contain a light yellow liquid, theelin in oil; three ampoules (q-s) contain a clear liquid, caffeine and sodium benzoate; all the ampoules are made of clear glass unless otherwise stated; the case also contains (t) a serrated blade; this is made of a flat narrow piece of metal with rounded ends, a straight top and a straight finely-serrated bottom edge; all of the above pieces are stored in (u) a leather ampoule case; the case consists of two joined halves, each of which has 12 turquoise felt-lined inner sections (for holding the ampoules); the two halves join together with a leather flap and two metal snaps

Research Facts
Thermometers have a long history of medical use; temperature first linked to illness in 1700s and the first practical medical thermometer invented by Sir Thomas Allbutt in 1867.
Tempa-Dot Single Use Oral Thermometers use chemical indicators that are activated by heat to measure temperature; disposable thermometers generate more waste than traditional thermometers, but can also be more sanitary and limit the spread of germs between patients.
The Tempa-Dot trademark was first filed filed by Organon Inc. in 1975 and has since been used by 3M and Medical Indicators.
