Description
Prostatic cautery punch, consisting of (a) needle in a long, angular handle that can hold a syringe; (b) straight sheath with a slight curve near a tapered, blunt tip; (c) punch tube, sharp, hollow at tip, small handle at 90° to tube, short cord, and has a heated cutting edge; (d) obturator; (e) aspirating bulb and nozzle; (f) stylet (?), a long, straight wire with a loop at one end and threaded at the other; (g) a brown, cloth-covered cord; one end has two contacts for a battery, and the other end fits to (i); (h) stylet (?), a long, straight wire with a loop at one end and threaded at the other; (i) light bulb and swinging lens, fits to cord (g) and light holder on (b); (j) black rubber (?) cord; (k) brown wooden case, crude and lightweight; a few pieces of wood are nailed into the bottom as compartments.

at the tip, one 6 cm from the tip), an orange and clear plastic connector, two black rubberized
catheters which insert into two plastic canisters (pressure transducers); transducers have 8-point
electrical plugs at the top end of each cannister; clear plastic dome with orange connector
fits over distal end of the catheter; equipment rests in a grey plastic case lined with grey foam
and pinned down by two white elasticized bands on bottom half of case; paper tag on distal guideline

and covered with a removable plastic dome with blue head; catheter is attached to four black guide
lines which insert into individual plastic cannisters called pressure transducers; each transducer
has an eight-prong electric plug at the top end; equipment rests on grey foam pads inserted into a
grey plastic case; equipment is held in place in the case with two elasticized bands that run across
the lower foam pad; white and clear plastic stopcock attached to shorter, 5th guide line; materials are stainless steel and brass.
