These products were meant to be dropped into your nostrils and down your throat to help keep them clear of congestion. Both Mistol and Menth-Air contained chlorobutanol, a mild sedative and pain reliever similar to chloral hydrate. Mistol also contained menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus.
