Description
Portable mobile stainless steel electroencephalograph machine model MEB-INT with large rubber wheels; capable of taking sixteen measurements at once and has a faceplate with mulitple colour coded tiny buttons and dials in rows for each measurement; table-top section beneath the faceplate acts as a printer, pulling paper from a compartment beneath and sending it through a series of recording needles which record the brain waves; metal attachable (b) which hangs off the left side and catches the printed chart paper; sitting inside the tray is a stack of used paper (c); box full of unused paper in the compartment (d); metal plate (e) which covers the ink cartridges which is currently unattached; five electrodes (f-j) (three orange, one black, and one gray), and two portable electrode boards (k-l), which appear to be later than the rest of the machine; the boards are plastic boxes with gray cords; thin yellow plastic pen or pointer like device (m) and a grey printer cable (n) that plugs into INPUT socket on side of machine.

Condition Remarks
The ink from the printer has leaked and run over parts of the machine body and face; there is some staining; the tray is badly deformed and will not securely attached; there is a plastic hinged plate which covers the pens on the machine that is coming off because the hinge is bent out of shape.

Description
Durham Duplex razor handle (a) has a cream coloured celluloid sheath that hinges onto a thinner rectangular silver steel handle with vertical grip lines on each side; handle widens into a larger rectangular head with two small rectangular holes; the bottom tip of the handle flares out and then tapers to a point; silver steel blade guard (b) has fifteen teeth on either side and attaches to handle via two clips that fit inside the rectangular holes on (a) and is held in place by a thin piece which fits into a small groove on (a); silver steel razor blade (c) fits in between the handle and the blade guard and is rectangular in shape with rounded edges and an oblong cut out in the centre which fits over the clips on (b); replacement blades (d-e) are identical to (c) and come inside a small red paper box (f) with a cream coloured border and gold and green lettering; the company logo is printed on top and consists of two lions each holding a flag on either side of a shield with three banners below them containing the company motto; all items fit into a cream coloured celluloid box with a top (g) and a bottom (h) section which fit together.

Rectangular paper box (a,b), black on the outside and tan on the inside with removable lid, contains a glass rectal thermometer (c) with a metal end and red hatch marks, numbers, and text with a white stripe running the length of one side, a black plastic case (d,e), and an instruction sheet (f) which contains information about the product and its use, about the manufacturer, and about an extra piece not present in the box: "Faichney's Thermometer Shaker"; paper has two holes just off centre, presumably for the thermometer to be put through.

Research Facts
Olive oil was used in various pharmacy recipes for home use and at the pharmacists.
This type of bottle is called a cruet, and is most often used to hold vinegar, oil, or sacramental wine. The word "cruet" was first attested circa 1300, and most likely comes from the Old French "crue", meaning an earthen pot. Related to the word "crock".
Amber, the colour of this glass, was a popular colour for glass just after the American Civil War and during the 1930s-1950s, and is one of the many colours which are often cited when referring to "Depression Glass". Amber glass comes from iron, sulphur, and carbon being added to molten glass. Amber glass is good for protecting liquids, as it blocks UV light and other light wavelengths under 450 nm, which is why it is often used to store medicines, alcohols, and oils.
