"Sodium perborate " Wikipedia
Research Facts
Sodium perborate is a white, odorless, water soluable chemical compound used as a source of active oxygen in some tooth bleaching formulas. Used as a bleaching agent for internal bleaching of a non vital root treated tooth and bleach the stains from the inside out. It has antiseptic properties and can act as a disinfectant. A less aggressive bleach than sodium hypochlorite. Can be used in powder form as toothpowder or as mouthwash when used as a solution.
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008.

Research Facts
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; a matrix band, consisting of a small, thin sheet of metal, was held tight alongside the tooth being filled to provide a smooth, curved wall against which the filling could be packed; a retainer was used to hold it in place; this model featured pointed knobs on its end, which could attach securely to the matrix, ensuring it would not become disengaged
