On the front face of the cardboard container is printed: "GYNERGEN // TRADE MARK //ERGOTAMINE STOLL // 6 sterile ampules // (1 c.c. = 0.00005 Gm) // [logo: a triangle with "S" in the centre and "SANDOZ" printed underneath // SANDOZ Ltd. Sole distributors for Canada // BASLE (Switzerland) THE WINGATE CHEMICAL Co., Ltd., // Montreal, Can."; the opposite face on the cardboard container gives the same information in French; on the bottom side of the box is printed: "Ergotamin tartaric 1/2 mgr. // Natrium chloratum 7 mgr. // Aqua ad. 1 ccm"; the foregoing is enclosed in a box shape; below this is "07500"; this number is also printed on each of the three ampoules.

Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008
