Petechiometer - An obsolete device used to evaluate capillary fragility by applying negative pressure with a suction cup; positive pressure methods—e.g., the tourniquet test—are now preferred.
Kit includes: aluminum tube with black cap which stands 6 ¾ inches tall - one Petechiometer (suction cup, stop ring, plunger, magnifying glass, barrel, and 1 cm circle) - paper instructions (When the Petechiometer should be used, description, technique, and how to count the petechiae.) Trade mark is from the Rexall Drug Co.
