Chromium plating has been rubbed off on 20-30% of surface; areas of heavier use show more wear:
inside blades, around the screw, inside finger holes; blades are slightly loose; actual rust marks
evident on inside blades around the screw

Research Facts
Valleau purchased the bandage scissors for $1.25; the scissors were required for every nurse and
they were instructed to purchase them by Ann Baillie; KGH nurses always used scissors as part of
their uniforms; earlier varieties were longer with straight blades and filigree design work; these
earlier scissors hung from a black ribbon tied around the belt
