Belonged to the donor's mother, Claire Ellen "Penny" Bennett (Mrs. C.W. Bennett), who died in 1989; she was a long-time member of the Kingston General Hospital Women's Aid and worked as a volunteer in the auxiliary's hospital coffee shop for 25 years, retired in 1977.
