Description
Foregger anaesthesia mask which consists of a round patterned metal mount with a short piece of hollow cylindrical tubing attached; the tubing is bent at a round 45 deg. angle and is round and open at the end; the mount is attached to a see-through convex-shaped body; the edge of the mask is made of soft dark green rubber and it attaches to the body with a series of five cone-shaped pieces which fit through holes in the bottom of the mask; the top edge of the mask has a short cylindrical rubber and metal piece sticking out.

Condition Remarks
The mask arrived dirty and dusty; the metal parts show some wear, but no corrosion; the plastic body shows wear, but is complete and shows no cracks or breaks; the rubber edge shows some deterioration; #2 no new damage

Description
Anaesthesia mask with connector and pressure valve, which consists of (a) an anaesthesia mask that has a convex teardrop-shaped body with a turned-up edge; the mount of the mask is round and open and attached onto the top; the bottom of the mask is open and shaped to allow the mask to be fitted over a patient's nose and mouth; there is a rounded hook on each side of the mask to enable it to be strapped onto a patient; fitting onto the mount is (b) a connector and pressure valve that is made of hollow cylindrical metal formed into a T-shape; one side of the "T" fits over the mount on the mask; the other side has a round metal pressure valve that can be adjusted with a flat knob at the back that can be loosened and rotated to open or cover five round holes; the bottom of the "T" is round and open.

IN. // USE NO OIL // Linde® // UNION // CARBIDE UL // LINDE COMPANY // OXYGEN"; the right-hand gauge also has increment lines and numbers on the outer edge of the front:"2 4 6 8 10 12 15"; centre reads, "MADE IN U.S.A. // LITERS PER MIN // USE NO OIL // OXYGEN"; top of plastic adjustment knob has embossed on it: "LINDE // TRADEMARK"; on back of central piece: "IM LINDE COMPANY [raised lettering] // UL FM [raised lettering] // MADE IN U.S.A. [raised lettering] // PATENTED R-513 [numbers stamped]"; attachment screw on back has the number "0" stamped in it.
