Description
Ether inhaler, which consists of a hollow covered round metal container with four rubber feet on the bottom; the top of the inhaler has a central movable dial which administers 2-20% volume ether; there is a scale printed at the top back with a close button at the left side; the right side of the inhaler has a round intake area and the left side has an outgoing nozzle; the front of the inhaler has a glass and metal ether level indicator at the left, a plunger in the centre and another glass and metal indicator at the right; the bottom of the inhaler has a round threaded water drain plug on a metal chain.

Co. LTD // ABINGDON, BERKS. // MADE IN ENGLAND"; the plug at the bottom is stamped, "H2O ["2" subscr.]"

The inhaler arrived very dirty and dusty; the inhaler has minor paint chipping and wear; there is no corrosion visible; #2 no new damage

Oxygen regulator has two chromium-plated brass gauges with glass covers; one gauge is graduated from 2 to 15 litres flow per min.; the second gauge is graduated from 0 to 3,000 lbs per square inch; plastic adjustment knob has knurled finger grip and automatic stop at on/off positions; adjustment knob connects to both gauges; metal fitting extends from rear of adjustment knob, terminating in a hexagonal bolt.

IN. // USE NO OIL // Linde® // UNION // CARBIDE UL // LINDE COMPANY // OXYGEN"; the right-hand gauge also has increment lines and numbers on the outer edge of the front:"2 4 6 8 10 12 15"; centre reads, "MADE IN U.S.A. // LITERS PER MIN // USE NO OIL // OXYGEN"; top of plastic adjustment knob has embossed on it: "LINDE // TRADEMARK"; on back of central piece: "IM LINDE COMPANY [raised lettering] // UL FM [raised lettering] // MADE IN U.S.A. [raised lettering] // PATENTED R-513 [numbers stamped]"; attachment screw on back has the number "0" stamped in it.
