Research Facts
It is too oily to be absorbed orally, therefore it requires intramuscular injection (also called dimercaprol injection). Used to treat arsenic, gold, lead, copper or mercury poisoning. It removes heavy metals from the blood, such as lead or mercury, and is excreted in urine. It is very allergenic (contains peanut).
