Research Facts
Extract of Ipecacuanha mixed with wine was a Brazilian root soaked in water or alcohol to treat gastro-intestinal issues, bronchitis, pneumonia, and diarrhea for both adults and children. It was prepared by R. A. Wood, a chemist in Toronto on 230 Yonge Street. The bottle contains some powdered residue.
