Urinary cabinet, a brown, rectangular wooden box with hinged lid; the inside of the case is lined with velvet; in the main part of the case, there are seven compartments of equal size along the back wall that hold the bottles (a,d,g,j,m,p, and s), together with their domed lids and pointed stoppers; in front of these compartments are three other compartments, one of which is on the left and contains the jar (l,m) and Petrie dishes ([ab] to [ag]); the middle section contains a box with the urinometer (items [ai]-[ak]); though not numbered, there are also two packets of litmus paper in the kit.

This artefact is part of a set of surgical instruments belonging to Dr. Weston L. Herriman, who was one of the first nine students who graduated in 1855 from the newly formed School of Medicine at the Church of Scotland-affiliated University of
Queen's College (1854, Kingston, Ont.). The nine senior students had transferred from the Anglican Upper Canada School of Medicine (Toronto) to the new school at Queen's.
