B-D luer-lok multifit hypodermic syringe, which consists of a hollow, ground-glass plunger (b) that slides into a graduated 10-cc glass barrel (a) that tapers to a metal luer-lok tip; the luer-lok tip accomodates and locks the needle into place; the other end has a prominent lip with two flattened, anti-roll sides; the glass plunger has a flat tip and a small, round, flat thumb push at the top.

On the top outer surface of the cap, "B-D" appears in raised plastic letters; at the midpoint of the tube on its side is "# 22" in black magic marker; it seems to have been written on a previous label and seeped through to the metal.

The metal tube was slightly worn, but there was no corrosion or dents; there was a dried piece of masking tape attached to the side of the tube, along wtih adhesive marks; there was minor cracking in the cap, and the plastic had hardened somewhat; #2: rubber may require special treatment.
