Description
An electrocardiograph recorder; consists of the recorder (a) which is a large metal box on four wheels; the box is made out of beige coloured metal; some of the edges have been repainted at some point; there is a drawer at the front of the box; on the right side of the box, there are some air vents and a whole for loading paper; on the back there is a silver metal handle; on the right is an area with a tempo dial and some sockets for connecting cords; on the top of the machine there is small openable lid; under the lid is a device for writing EKG readings on the paper; there are also some buttons and knobs and numbers for recording patient information; on the back part of the top there is a large glass window which opens; beneath it is equipment for recording sounds on to film; there is also a blank, clear plastic, film real (b) and a brown plastic hood (c) which covers the film under the glass; inside the drawer are a bundle of four very deteriorated leather and rubber straps (g) (all stuck together), each with a metal connecter on the end, a rubber cord (h) which plugs into the machine on one end, and separates into five coloured ends on the other which plug into the four straps and into a rubber ball (i)with a funnel like attachment on its end; there is also a small length of paper from one of the rolls which has been used (j).
