Research Facts
Wilbur F. Young and his wife, Mary Ida, created Absorbine in 1892 as a pain reliever for horses. Farmers then noticed that it also helped relieve pain in humans. Later, they created Absorbine Jr., named for their son Junior, which was made specifically to treat human aches and pains.
