Four small rectangular sheets of tan paper with handwritten prescriptions written on both sides in blue ink and faded black ink; the front of each page contains an address printed in black ink in the top right corner, and a phonee number printed on a diagonal in the top left; there are prescriptions for a variety of ailments, for both adults and children, and on the front page in brackets a name is handwritten in sepia ink near the bottom right corner, "Ms. Clyde" or "Mr. Clyde".

Research Facts
Dr. George trained in Canada and Scotland, with a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and began working at Kingston General Hospital in 1963.
These prescriptions were written around the same time that penicillin came to the community.
Many pharmaceutical abbreviations are used in these pages, some of which include "t.i.d.p.c.", which means "three times daily after food", "Rx", which means recipe, and "mitte", which means "send" or "number of tablets provided", and "Sig", which means "write on the label".
