Research Facts
From the Archives at the Stratford General Hospital, they have a second copy. The Canadian War Museum also holds a copy.
The memorial was commissioned by the Canadian Association of Trained Nurses (now the Canadian Nurses Association) to honour the Canadian Nursing Sisters who served during World War I. The memorial was created by the well-known sculptor George Wm. Hill and was unveiled in 1926. Sadly, it sustained a bit of damage during the shootout in the terrorist attack in 2014.
This print of the memorial was created by Samuel Herbert Maw (1881-1952).
