Description
Cardboard box (a) with hinged lid covered in texture leather-like keratol, the inside of the box is lined with red fabric, and on the inside of the lid there is a paper which is the same size as the lid and has coloured print with the product name and manufacturer, as well as two coloured illustrations: one of a man using the product, and the other of a woman using it; inside the box there are a long brown Bakelite tube (b) which has a fabric covered cord with a plug on one end, and which tapers at the other end and contains a hole into which the electrode attachment (c) fits; the electrode is made of clear, thin glass and has a rounded metal piece on one end, while the other end bends to one side and has a large, round end; there are two paper pamphlets, one paper booklet, one paper postcard, and one paper with a notice printed on it (d-h).

The violet ray generator used a Tesla coil to transform household electricity into output that could be applied to human skin safely, and which glowed violet inside the glass electrode.
