Purchased by Dr. Frank Mellow and used in his home office in Uxbridge, Ontario; the Dr's main practice was on first floor; this was on the second floor where radiotherapy, massage, surgical procedures were performed with it; it was last used therapeutically in 1940 by Dr. Mellow.
The brass on the working side of the ball is worn; beginning to corrode and show darker areas; the handle is showing some signs of wear.

These electrodes were attached to the electrostatic generating machine; 006030001; by a chain which ran through the islet at the end of the handle; this type of electrode was used for many different therapies; the large size was for massage; the medium for face; small for body cavities; the size of the electrode determined the size of spark.
