The original owner was either Dr. Frank Mellow or his son Dr. Ross Mellow; found within the pages of the text book Static Electricity and the uses of the Roentgen Ray by W.B. Snow from 1903; it was located in the textbook 006.030.033 after it had been donated to the museum.
