Research Facts
Dr. H. Yates was a key member in the establishment of the Kingston General Hospital, purchasing many new tools and supplies in the 1840's. When the Faculty of Medicine at Queen's University was created, he became the Chair of the Science and Practice of Medicine and later was the Dean of the Faculty. It is probable that Dr. Yates' tools were left to his collegues at the Faculty of Medicine.
