Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; this item was donated by Dr. Donald Beauprie from Deep River, Ontario; Den-tal-ez Mfg Co. was founded in 1958 by John L. Naughter, who helped design their well-known dental J-Chair in 1958; it allowed dentists to sit next to their reclined patients; Earl Nightingale is credited with starting the self-help industry with his top-selling "The Strangest Secret", written and recorded in 1956; the secret was "We become what we think"
