Jackson laryngoscope with blade cover, which consists of (a) a laryngoscope made of a semi-circular open blade with a rounded tip; the left side of the blade has a narrow hollow cylindrical section (open at both ends) that runs the entire length of the blade; the viewing end of the blade is attached to a solid cylindrical metal handle which comes down from the blade, then bends at a 90 deg angle to form a partial square; the top of the blade can be partially covered with (b) a blade cover, a hollow cylindrical section that runs the entire length of the tube, into which (b) fits; (b) a cover made of semicircular metal wtih slots in both sides; the blade cover slides onto and covers the viewing-end half of the blade to form a hollow cylindrical shape.

The laryngoscope arrived attached to a display board with wire and glue gun adhesive; the metal shows minor wear and tarnish and some scratches made by the wire that held the laryngoscope to the board; there are 8 spots on the laryngoscope that show a green corrosion product; the laryngoscope blade cover slides on and off easily
