Research Facts
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; this item was donated by the Canadian Fund for Dental Education/Canadian Dental Association; a note from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Alumni Affairs states that this limited edition medallion is the first in a series to be struck honouring members of the Inner Circle; for 1987, only 89 were produced; the Inner Circle commemorated a group of donors who donated a significant amount of money to the Faculty of Dentistry during their "Completion Campaign" to complete a major addition to their building
