Research Facts
Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; mallets were used to condense gold fillings; an S. S. White catalogue states the mallet was a radical departure from older designs; the mallet's blow or stroke could be changed instantly by the guiding of the operator's fingers without having to remove the plugger point from the end
