Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008; Clev-Dent was established in 1896; these are Dr. M. H. Cryer's No. 150 universal forceps; they are described as absolutely universal, and can be used to take out any root or tooth in the upper jaw, and most in the lower jaw, excluding large molars; they are especially good for impacted teeth
