Dental x-ray film container (a) holds 19 black rectangular safety x-ray films in red rubber frames with rounded corners (c) with removable lid (b); yellow and silver metal rectangular box (a) and lid (b) with rounded corners, enamelled in orange and blue; product and manufacturer's information printed on top of lid and bottom of box; sides of box with white semi-circle with rays coming out of it; white paper attached inside lid, printed with black ink, states manufacturer's guarantee, expiry date stamped with purple ink.

Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008.
This item was donated by Dr. Irwin G. Kreisman from Ottawa, Ontario. The Victor Electric Corporation began making x-ray machines in 1896; they became the Victor X-Ray Corporation in 1920, were acquired by General Electric in 1926, and by 1930 the company was renamed the General Electric X-Ray Corporation; the x-ray film design was filed in 1922 and patented in 1925
