Hardcover book (a) entitled Gray's Anatomy, Descriptive and Surgical; bound with dark brown pressed paper with a light brown spine; title and publisher's insignia embossed on spine in gold; white pages with black ink; at the back of the book there is a classified list of medical and surgical publications issued by Henry C. Lea's Son & Co.; handwritten notes (b) on a sheet of foolscap; notes are written in pencil on gray paper and was found inside the book between pages xvi and xvii; an ivory postcard (c) was also found inside the book between pages xvi and xvii dated March 16, 1916; postcard is addressed to Dr. S.H. Thorne in Bobcaygeon, Ontario from [S?] Gregory; postcard was stamped in Lindsay Ontario on March 16, 1916 at 10:30 AM; there is a 2 cent stamp printed in the top right corner; the subject of the postcard was to thank Dr. Thorne for twenty dollars and to inform him that there were no changes to an unknown object.
