Stand (a) has dime-sized chips out of the paint on the pole and two of the legs; where pole meets legs paint is flaking; all four legs have scuffs and paint loss where wheels join legs; all four wheel castors have rust present; underside of legs have paint loss, rust and major discolouration of paint; basket (b) has minor chips in the paint around edges; there are cracks in the paint on the inside of the basket; tray (c) has a 6.0 cm chip out of the metal on one corner; some minor chips in the enamel on the top side of the tray; one chip in the enamel on the underside of the tray

Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008
