Research Facts
This group of 25 denture teaching models were in a box marked "Unsatisfactory Cases" by original donor, Dr. Sykora. Apparently ill fitting dentures were turned into teaching models. As a group, the dentures provide an interesting study on mouth shapes and mouth roof types. Dr Ralph and Mrs Olga Crawford donated their extensive Canadian dental collection to the DCF to create the museum in 1997; further donations were received while Dr Crawford was Curator Emeritus at the Dental Canada Museum until its closure in 2008.
