Research Facts
Ernest Lloyd Hanna was born in 1888 and lost his left leg following an accident on his farm in Lyn, Ontario at age 35. He continued to work on his farm with a prosthetic leg and cane for balance; used the same two prosthetic legs until his death in 1969.
