(a) B.O.C. ether vaporizer, which consists of a round threaded metal top with a U-shaped piece of cylindrical copper tubing attached at both ends to the top and leading downwards; the top has a plunger with a round handle on a cylindrical handle on a cylindrical rod, which leads down to the copper …
(a) B.O.C. ether vaporizer, which consists of a round threaded metal top with a U-shaped piece of cylindrical copper tubing attached at both ends to the top and leading downwards; the top has a plunger with a round handle on a cylindrical handle on a cylindrical rod, which leads down to the copper tubing; there is an open round hole to the right of the plunger; the left side of the top has a round on/off valve with a grease injector cap at the back and a hollow round gas inlet nozzle at the left side; the right side of the top has a hollow round gas outlet nozzle; this vaporizer was attached to Boyle anaesthesia machine 997.008.001 by Dr. Matthews; the back of the vaporizer top has a screw attachment piece that allows the vaporizer to attach to the back of an anaesthesia machine; the inside of the vaporizer top is threaded to allow the attachment of (b) a glass jar designed to hold liquid ether which is labelled in increments of 50 to 300 cc's; there is a round cork washer which tightly seals the glass jar to the vaporizer top.

Condition Remarks
The vaporizer arrived very dirty and dusty; there is no corrosion on the metal parts and the glass jar is complete and undamaged; a piece is missing from the on/off switch; #2 no new damage
