Research Facts
Beechalax was produced by Beechams Pills, a company founded by British chemist Thomas Beecham in the 1840s. The namesake of the company, Beecham's Pills, were produced from 1842 until 1998, meeting with great success as a laxative. They were heavily advertised, even to the point of the company commissioning popular Scottish poet William McGonagall to compose a poem dedicated to the pills in 1894.
