Artery forceps and needle holder combined, which consists of a tweezer-like instrument with tips at both ends; the forceps are made from two halves which join together with a box lock joint just below the needle holder end; the needle holder end has rounded outer edges; one inner edge is flat, while the other has a round groove in the centre and six straight grooves leading into the centre; the other end has slightly bulbous tips with an elongated oval piece cut out and tapering to blunted mouse-tooth ends, which lock together when the forceps are closed; the handles are straight and lock together with a spring catch when closed; the outer edges of the handles have vertical gripping grooves stamped into the metal
