Aspirator kit, which contains several pieces housed in a case; the syringe (a) is a hollow cylindrical metal tube with one end tapered to a small open round nozzle with threading on the outside edges; the other end has an attached cap with a small round opening in the centre; this opening allows the passage of a solid cylindrical metal rod; one end of the rod has a round plunger which fits into the barrel; the other end of the rod has a cylindrical handle attached to form a T-shape; aspirator tips (b) attach to the tip of the syringe; there are two tapered hollow cylindrical metal tips set onto a rectangular base with rounded sides; the base has a round attachment with threading on the inside; this fits over and onto the syringe tip; the kit also contains (c) a stopcock; this has a cylindrical rubber tapered stopper that has a hole in the centre; a hollow metal tube runs through this hole and is round and open at the bottom; at the top, the tube splits off and curves to both sides, forming a Y-shape; the ends of each top tube are tapered and open and have a flat oval spigot above them; the spigots will open or close the tube ends ; the kit also contains three aspirator needles (d-f); all of these needles have a length of hollow cylindrical metal tubing with a sharp bevelled tip on one end; the other end has an open round base that tapers to the tube; one needle (d) has a small hole in the side, just above the tip; all three needles have a wire through them; there are six extra wires (not catalogued) stored in a hollow clear glass cylindrical tube (g); the kit has three lengths of rubber tubing with metal attachments on both ends (h-j); one length (h) has a round open attachment on one end and a tapered attachment with a small round opening on the other end; another length (i) has a round open attachment on both ends; the last length (j) has a tapered attachment with a small round opening on both ends and a small length of hollow cylindrical glass tubing near one end; all pieces of the kit are stored in (k) a rectangular-shaped leather-covered wooden box; the lid of the box is hinged onto the base at the back and there are two clasps at the front; the inside lid and base of the box are velvet covered; the top of the lid has a printed label; the base has purple velvet-covered inserts for all parts of the kit to hold them in place
