Aspirator kit, which contains several pieces housed in a case; the syringe (a-c) consists of (a) a hollow cylindrical metal tube with one end tapered to a small open round nozzle with threading on the outside edges; the other end is open and has threading on the outside top edges; aspirator tips (b) attach to the tapered end; there are two tapered hollow cylindrical metal tips set onto a rectangular base with rounded sides; the base has a round attachment with threading on the inside; this fits over and onto the syringe tip; the syringe plunger (c) fits onto the other end of the syringe; the plunger consists of a solid cylindrical metal rod with a solid round rubber plug at one end; this plug fits snugly into the barrel; the other end of the rod has a cylindrical handle attached to form a T-shape; a round cap with threading on the inside and a hole in the centre slides up and down the bar; the cap fits over and onto the open end of the barrel; the kit also contains (c) a stopcock; this is a cylindrical rubber tapered stopper that has a hole through the centre; a hollow metal tube runs through this hole and is open at the bottom in a semi-circular shape; at the top, the tube has a round central piece and hollow cylindrical tubes going to the right and left, forming a T-shape; one tube has a round open end and the other tube has a tapered open end; both tubes have a flat oval spigot which will open or close the tube when turned; the kit contains four aspirator needles (e-h); all of these needles have a length of hollow cylindrical metal tubing with a sharp bevelled tip on one end; the other end has an open round base that tapers to the tube; one needle (f) has a small hole in the side, just above the tip; all four needles have a wire through them; there are 15 extra wires (not catalogued) stored in a hollow, clear glass cylindrical tube (i); the kit has two lengths of hollow cylindrical rubber tubing with metal attachments on both ends (j,k); one length (j) has an open round attachment on both ends; the rubber has broken near one end; the other length of tubing (k) has a tapered attachment with a small round opening on both ends and a small length of hollow cylindrical glass tubing near one end; all pieces of the kit are stored in (l) a rectangular-shaped leather-covered wooden case; the lid of the case is hinged onto the base with two metal hinges at the back and there are two metal clasps at the front; the inside lid and base of the case are purple-velvet covered; the base has velvet-covered inserts which securely hold the parts inside
