Syringe container which consists of (a) a metal syringe container that is a hollow cylindrical tube with a round open top that tapers downwards to a closed, rounded bottom; the top of the tube has a lip just as it first starts to taper; there are two small venting holes in the middle of this lip, at opposite sides of the tube; the holes go through the metal; a black rubber ring (b) fits on the inside of the lip and cushions a stored syringe; the ring is flat, round and closed with a large hole in the centre; a red rubber cap (c) fits over and covers the open end of the syringe container; this cap has a closed, flat top with raised lettering on it and sides; the cap can be moved up and down on the lip to either close or leave the venting holes open

The metal shows very minor wear only and no staining or corrosion; the rubber is complete; the cap is flexible, but the ring is somewhat brittle and has a small crack visible
