(a) Microscope slide box which is a wooden, rectangular-shaped box that has two metal hinges at the back and two metal clasps at the front; the inside of the lid is lined with a piece of paper on which are printed sequential numbers from one to one hundred, for recording the contents of each slide and to provide a complete index of the contents of the box; the bottom is fitted with paper matting that has sequential numbers from one to one hundred which correspond to each slide; the inside of the box has three built-in wooden dividers, sequentially numbered from one to one hundred, with notched grooves to hold slides apart and in an upright position; accompanying this case are 84 rectangular glass microscope slides; slides 19, 24, 25, 29, 36, 38, 39, 42, 65, 72, 74, 75, 77, and 80 do not have labels; all other slides have a sealed, small square label; a loose slide label (b) is a square, discoloured paper inside of microscope case
