(a) A handmade, shallow rectangular copper box with semi-circular handles attached on both ends with silver solder; the rounded edges are hand-crimped, and each seam is sealed with a solder compound; the copper sieve tray (b) is a flat piece of copper with upturned sides and square-shaped handles protruding at 90 deg. on both ends; the surface has 50 holes (5 rows of 10), allowing the free flow of heated water over the tray; the lid (c) is a flat piece of copper with a one-inch lip soldered just inside the perimeter which, when closed, gives the box a tight seal; there is a wire handle attached to the lid in the centre which swivels back to front through a small copper tube mounted with solder
