Johnson & Johnson No. 3 plain catgut ligatures in a box, which consists of two tubes with ligatures (a,b); each tube is a sealed, hollow glass tube that contains a folded five-foot length of ligature is sterile water; there is also a piece of printed paper in the tube around the ligature and against the inner edges; these labels list the product information; both ends of the tubes are closed and rounded outwards; the tubes are stored in a paper-covered rectangular-shaped cardboard box with bottom (c) and lid (d); the bottom of the box has a closed bottom and four sides and open top; the inside base has three cotton-lined cardboard sections which hold the tubes apart from each other; the lid has a closed top and four sides and open bottom; the lid fits over and onto the bottom; there is an attached printed paper label on the top of the lid

Condition Remarks
The glass tubes, ligatures and labels are complete and undamaged; the box bottom and lid both have tears at each corner; the outer label on the lid is fully legible; #2: case is falling apart.
